About GWISE

Mission

GWISE was created to improve the graduate school experience for women in science, engineering, mathematics, and in other technical fields, while making graduate school more inviting for women considering further study in STEM fields at MSU, and recognizing women who are achieving success in these fields.

Membership

We welcome all students (graduate and undergraduate) and faculty members from all STEM fields who are interested in supporting women graduate students. We are building a diverse network of female scholars in a range of technical disciplines.

Membership Benefits

Membership is free. Optional social events at local businesses may require you to pay for yourself, but there will never be a charge for attending a meeting. You may invest as much time and energy as you would like. You can attend lectures, social events, and service opportunities. Many of our members are interested in building a support network of colleagues, getting to know and learning from the many successful female faculty members here at Mississippi State, and encouraging other young women to pursue STEM research and studies.
